Two of the South East’s leading businesses in the electrical market have formed a new partnership. Kew Electrical will be selling Trade Skills 4U electrical courses via their network of electrical wholesale outlets across the South East of England. The two companies first started talking about a partnership a few months back. It was clear from the location of the Kew Electrical outlets that they were perfectly placed to sell courses for the Gatwick based electrical training company. Kew Electrical’s main client base are experienced contractors and qualified electricians so it made sense to partner with an electrical training specialist who not only offers the usual 17th edition courses, but also keeps up to date with all the latest advanced courses such as the new City & Guilds 2395 and 2396. Also the new apprenticeships programmes are something that Kew Electrical’s micro business client base should find very interesting particularly in supporting young people entering the industry and as a good source of quality recruitment.

“When we first starting talking to Kew Electrical it was clear that we had the same client base and the same ideals. Both companies are focussed on providing electricians with the best possible service. We are very much looking forward to working together.” Said Carl Bennett MD of Trade Skills 4U.

“We were very impressed when we first met Trade Skills 4U and saw their set up in Crawley. It is rare to find a construction training company with such a professional attitude and solid reputation in the industry.” Said Nik Mulcahy, Operations Director for Kew Electrical.

The partnership means that Kew customers can pay for their electrical training via their normal Kew account making life a bit simpler and meaning the customers can benefit from their Kew trading terms. It also means that Kew staff will benefit from specially designed courses to help them further understand the world of electrical installation and how the products they sell in the outlets will be installed out there in the real world.

Both companies have seen solid growth over the past few years.

Kew electrical started out in 1996 with just one branch in Brighton. Since then they have developed a network of 12 branches covering the south east region as well as one in Belfast. Kew Electrical is part of FEGIME, Europe’s largest independent electrical buying group and as a result is able to supply goods from all the major manufacturers’ at very competitive prices.

Trade Skills 4U have grown to be the UK’s leading electrical training company since it was first established in 2005. They have done this by providing a specialist training service for new entrants and existing electricians which is second to none. They have state of the art facilities just next to Gatwick Airport in Crawley.

Both companies will be launching the partnership at Kew Electrical’s re-launch of their Brighton store on the 24th October. If you are in the area don’t forget to pop in between 4pm and 7pm to see the re-vamped branch, meet Trade Skills 4U staff and also a number of electrical manufacturers.
