Enterprise sustainability software leader to support global consulting leader

LONDON – 25th October, 2012– CloudApps, the enterprise application leader in sustainability, today announced Environmental Resources Management (ERM) as its latest customer. ERM is the leading global provider of sustainability, environmental, health, safety, risk and social consulting services. With over 4500 employees, 140 locations in 39 countries and territories, ERM represents the global reach of CloudApps.

With over 40 years of experience in helping its clients manage their sustainability, environmental, social and economic impacts ERM wanted to demonstrate its leadership through its own corporate sustainability programme. CloudApps offered the sustainability performance monitoring and reporting system which met ERM’s needs.

While procuring an enterprise level solution for sustainability ERM was focused on specific objectives to support its business strategy. ERM needed a provider that was capable of accommodating future growth, while improving efficiency of the complex data needed for sustainability reporting. It also needed a solution that could support the drive for performance against ERM’s sustainability targets.

CloudApps’ software will enable ERM to capture, analyse and report the sustainability data across 7 key areas to external frameworks including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). All of which would previously have been fulfilled with complex spread sheets and taken many staff-hours.

Linden Edgell, Global Sustainability Program Director, ERM said “For ERM, sustainability is a commitment to support socio-economic development that meets the requirements of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Through the implementation of CloudApps, we are demonstrating the effectiveness of the approaches we develop for the benefit of our clients through our market offerings.”

Peter Grant, CEO, CloudApps, commented “We are delighted to announce ERM as a customer, with such presence, globally and sustainability at the core of its business, they believed in our vision around employee engagement and our breadth of functionality. ”

CloudApps is fast positioning itself as the market leader in sustainability performance management and employee engagement as sustainability rises up the board agenda for companies.
