London, UK – 02 November– Anoto, creator of digital pen and paper technologies, together with Ubisys, Anoto’s wholly owned data capture specialist, announced today that it has been named the winner of the Mobile Project of the Year Award at the 6th Annual Document Management (DM) Awards, at a black tie event at the Hotel Russell, London. The DM Awards, presented by ITV’s Show Me The Funny winner, Patrick Monahan, is the leading awards honouring excellence in the DM Industry. The judging panel who selects the DM Award Project winners out of a host of finalists is comprised of industry experts.
The winning Anoto and Ubisys implementation, delivered a solution to Doncaster and Bassetlaw hospitals that enabled hospital staff to digitise handwritten patient experience forms by using digital pen technologies.
Anoto and Ubisys have set the standard for sending patient experience survey data in real time, thus easing workflow related issues as the data is now digitally stored on the digital pens. By docking pens on a PC or laptop at any ward, all surveys stored on a pen are transferred in a CSV file for analysis by the quality team.
The DM Awards panel chose Anoto and Ubisys for the award as a testament to the skill, ingenuity, vision, and delivery of a bespoke solution to the healthcare market, which has considerably reduced the need to re-key data.
“The healthcare industry is continually looking for ways that it can further improve patient care and free up more time for patients,” says Anoto CEO, Stein Revelsby. “We are always delighted to see the ways in which our technologies help the healthcare industry, but to have the work recognised with an award from the prestigious DM Awards speaks volumes of the benefits of the digital pen technology.”
