Popular poker series has generated over £137,000 in prize pools so far

(6November, 2012) Online poker giants, Sky Poker, are today praising the successful return of their UK Online Poker Series, which has so far attracted huge amounts of interest from loyal poker fans, eager to win handsome piles of cash.

According to Sky Poker, the UK Online Poker Series (UKOPS) event, which launched on 28th October and ends on 4th November , has so far generated over £137,000 in prize pool winnings, smashing the guarantees offered along the way- amazing considering those figures were recorded two days ago at the half-way stage!

But that’s not all. The number crunchers at Sky Poker are confident these figures can only head in one direction: upwards, as the UKOPS Main Event draws ever closer.

Sunday’s Main Event, which is the marquee event of the whole UKOPS, will pit poker players against each other in pursuit of a slice of the mammoth £50,000 prize pool. With a £220 buy-in, the stakes are no-doubt high. But with earlier satellites rounds allowing a cheaper route to the Main Event, anyone can reap the rewards.

There are, of course, still many other poker games on offer across the site, each offering outstanding chances of cash prizes. The ever-popular daily Bounty Hunter tournaments are joined by Double Stack and Rebuy events, as well as the traditional No Limit Hold’em Tournaments – plenty then to keep players intrigued before Sunday’s Main Event.

If you can’t make it to any of the UKOPS events, you can catch the best action on Sky Poker TV (Channel 861). Be sure to tune in, as Sky Poker TVwill be following all of the action from that evening’s tournaments, as well as recapping some of the previous winners.
