Stoke Newington based fine stringed instrument specialists Bridgewood and Neitzert unveil their latest treasure trove of dream violins to the world in their website and at their 3 storey North London Shop.

The 3rd incarnation of Bridgewood and Neitzert’s shop established over 27 years in the heart of a community with historic links to music and the arts now houses an amazing collection of fine violins from the 1700s to the present day.

What’s more all of the fine violins for sale and information about their history and condition now feature on the shop’s website.

Historic violins currently for sale include an incredible violin by Johann Gottlob Pfretschner (the Hague) c 1779, an amazing Tomasso Carcass (Florence) violin from c.1750, a superb violin by Rodolfo Fredi (Rome) 1941, and many more fine examples spanning the last 3 centuries.

“We are passionate about violins and sound, we have always taken period instruments very seriously and we’ve worked hard over many years to gain the knowledge, experience and skills necessary so we know that we can offer our customers the finest instruments and that they have been afforded every attention to make sure that they sound as good as possible” says Gary Bridgewood who founded the business along with Tom Neitzert.

Gary also pointed out “It’s not just violin sales here. We’re specialist dealers in violas, cellos, double basses, lutes, viols and baroque stringed instruments. We also have the facilities and skills here to carry out a whole range of restoration and repair work to a very high standard.”

Visitors to the website can click on the links on the home page to view the stunning ranges of vintage violins, violas, cellos and baroque instruments. Visitors to the Stoke Newington shop can see and play them for themselves!

Bridgewood and Neitzert also offer violin valuations for e.g. for sale, insurance or probate, and offer a sale on commission service for people who have an instrument to sell. Bridgewood and Neitzert are also happy to give advice on instrument upgrades.
