GBM Directors Celebrate 25th anniversary

eight new contracts have certainly added extra sparkle to the 25th anniversary celebrations

GBM, the business support services group has won a host of new contracts, adding some extra sparkle to its recent 25th anniversary celebrations.

Amongst the eight new contracts are high profile wins from the Greater London Authority (GLA), a major City law firm, several major UK shopping centres and the Stag Brewery in South London. The most high profile contract covers the Mayor of London’s office, where GBM will provide cleaning and porterage services; extending its existing GLA contract for a further four years.

The recent wins also include a new contract for cleaning services at leading City law firm, Mayer Brown International at its prestigious headquarters in Broadgate. The company is also celebrating four further new contracts for cleaning and security services at major shopping centres in London, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

David Ford, GBM’s Chief Executive is delighted with the company’s success at this special point in its history: “We’ve had some great successes recently, not only in our traditional cleaning business, but for our newer facilities management operations. The eight new contracts have certainly added extra sparkle to the 25th anniversary celebrations”.

The company recently celebrated its anniversary with a party at London’s Southbank Centre. Hosted by GBM’s current management team, the event brought together former and current colleagues, staff, partners and clients. Several of the company’s founder directors attended the event; three of whom continue to be involved in the company’s daily management.

Commenting on the company’s anniversary, David added “The whole business services industry has changed dramatically since GBM’s started life in 1987: customer demand, legislation and economic pressures have all played a significant part. But, throughout that time, GBM has continued to expand, offering its customers the highest levels of service and delivering new offerings to meet the needs of a constantly changing market place.”

He added: “There are bound to be many more challenges in the future, but I’m confident that we’re well placed to meet them, and we’re already planning ahead and looking forward to the next 25 years”.
