The London College of Garden Design is celebrating the success of it’s students and tutors at this year’s Society of Garden Designer’s Awards.

Two 2012 graduates of the Garden Design Diploma, were finalists for the Student Designer Award and our 2012 graduate of the year Jon Sims won. Jon said “Being nominated for the Student Award capped of a great year on the LCGD course and winning it has opened up great opportunities to develop my career into the future.”

Second finalist and LCGD graduate Jens Haendeler said "The SGD Awards have been glamorous and encouraging - simply fab – it would be good to see awards rewarding sustainable and social schemes next year."

Director of Garden Design studies Andrew Wilson said “This is a great celebration of our profession and its is really encouraging to us at the London College of Garden Design that we are training students that will lead the way in the future.”

Andrew Wilson also won the Public Space Award for the Savill Rose Garden and topped off a great evening by winning the Homes & Gardens People’s Choice Award.
