We decided to see just what ordinary folk really thought about the Leveson Inquiry and it is clear that it is just not of interest to UK citizens

Further demonstrating the growing belief that the general public are, by and large, not interested in the findings of the Leveson Inquiry, a flash poll has revealed that 74% of 2487 people asked don’t care about the inquiry.

An overnight flash poll by a UK money saving website of its customer database has found that 74% of people asked don’t care about the Leveson Inquiry.

VoucherCodesPro.co.uk also found that only half of those asked, 53%, said that they understood what the inquiry was about.

When asked to rank in order of importance, current topical areas of concern, the β€˜Economy’ and β€˜Christmas’ came out joint top followed by β€˜Flooding’, β€˜Snow’, and β€˜Cost of Energy Bills’ that made up the top 5.

The Mayan End of the World prediction ranked higher on people’s concerns than the Leveson Inquiry.

Speaking about the findings, George Charles, Marketing Director of VoucherCodesPro.co.uk said:

β€œWe decided to see just what ordinary folk really thought about the Leveson Inquiry and it is clear that it is just not of interest to UK citizens.”

He continued, β€œThe economy is still clearly the big issue at the forefront of everyone’s minds, alongside the annual concerns about Christmas and the weather situation.”

VoucherCodesPro.co.uk polled 2,487 people from a database of signed up site users.

The website saves consumer money on their online purchases by finding discounts for big brand stores such as Argos, Dell, Currys and PC World.
