Stagecoach Inspiration Award Winners

The Stagecoach Inspiration Awards were created to celebrate inspirational young people and were launched in 2009 at the House of Commons. The awards recognise, acknowledge and reward young people from all walks of life who have faced adversity, demonstrated bravery, shown courage, cared for and are good role models to others.

The inspirational young people were invited to a special presentation ceremony at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, the home of Billy Elliot the Musical, on Monday 3rd December 2012.

Mike McNulty, CEO of the Stagecoach Charitable Trust, said: “The awards are our way of celebrating the achievements of young people from all walks of life who have faced great challenges in their everyday lives. These young people are the unsung heroes of today. The Stagecoach Inspiration Awards has been inspired and humbled by their achievements.”

Opera duo Jonathan and Charlotte, runners-up in the 2012, Britain’s Got Talent competition joined the winners at the presentation on stage at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, home of Billy Elliot the Musical. The awards presentation was followed by a special question and answers session led by Deka Walmsley who plays Dad in the hit West End musical. The children then went on to see the show afterwards.

The Stagecoach Inspiration Awards are supported by many friends including: The Stage, RADA, Spotlight, CBT, Daily Express and many more from the world of arts and entertainment.
