Graphics and Print, are proud to announce the month 3 winner of their charity fund raising Fantasy Football League

The Shropshire printer, Graphics and Print, are proud to announce the month 3 winner of their charity fund raising Fantasy Football League is Martin Underwood from Nottingham. The Telford based commercial printers announced at the start of the new Barclays Premier League season that they would be running a fantasy league to help raise money for charity and the league generated tremendous interest amongst both individuals and businesses, from all over the UK. In total, the award winning printers put £1000 up for grabs - £600 going to charities and £400 to the participants of the competition and the month 3 winner chose to donate his charity award to Fibromyalgia Association UK.

Managing Director Martin Kells was delighted to pay out to a charity that not many people are aware of: “It’s great to be paying out to a lesser known charity, especially when you look into the facts surrounding this condition. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. The pain tends to be felt as diffused aching or burning, often described as head to toe. It may be worse at some times than others. It may also change location, usually becoming more severe in parts of the body that are used most. The fatigue ranges from feeling tired, to the exhaustion of a flu-like illness. It may come and go and people can suddenly feel drained of all energy – as if someone just “pulled the plug”. What startled me was that Fibromyalgia is a common illness. In fact, it is more common than rheumatoid arthritis and can even be more painful and yet very few people seem to be aware of it. We’re always pleased to support charities where we can but I was particularly delighted with Martin Underwood winning because he doubled the charity donation out of his own pocket – a mark of the passion he has for this charity. Well done Martin and good luck for next month.”

Graphics and Print have a strong commitment to the communities in which they operate, and are one of the few commercial printers to make a commitment that every one of its employees will spend a minimum of two days per year, during work time, supporting charities or disadvantaged people, in having a better life. They recently spent two days supporting the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust participating in various activities voluntarily and are already laying plans for their community activities in 2013, which include a repeat of the Fantasy Football League!
