London: December 10, 2012: Skill Pill M-Learning [SPML], a pioneer in mobile learning, today announces its partnership with noted organizational-change experts Martin Reddington Associates (MRA) to deliver En-Gauge, the advanced employment value proposition diagnostic tool using mobile technology.

En-Gauge allows employees to submit responses to set questions via their mobile. Both data and opinions/sentiments are automatically analyzed using leading-edge analysis techniques that can be adapted to provide a live dashboard of the levels of employee engagement within the organization.

Martin Reddington says: “The ability to measure the employment value proposition [EVP] or employment deal using SPML’s mobile technology will provide HR managers with actionable insights that can make a positive difference to employee engagement and wellbeing. The unique blend of statistical and sentiment data moves beyond the notion of an engagement score as the primary outcome by looking at the processes, revealed through conversational practice, that produce engagement. Our partnership with SPML allows us to deliver our EVP system via mobile for the rapid turnaround in delivery and analysis of EVP data.”

SPML founder Gerry Griffin says: “En-Gauge represents another step forward in our rapid growth as a leader in delivering and gathering information and data through mobile. We can collect and collate this employee data for a quick and effective report delivery, managed through the En-Gauge mobile app.

Martin Rayson, President of the Public Sector People Managers’ Association (PPMA) says: “The PPMA has sponsored the application of the diagnostic tool to gain valuable insights into the employee view of the current state of the EVP or employment deal in a number of Councils, and the local authority sector as a whole. We are looking forward to the delivery of the new En-Gauge system and are confident that the significant value of EVP diagnostics combined with the efficient delivery and reporting enabled through SPML mobile technology will provide us with the insights that will help us address our key challenges around an appropriate EVP for the future.”

A recent report (The Evidence) published by the Engage for Success movement last month, called for employee engagement in a more engaging and people-focused way. The report stated that the sheer weight of evidence for people engagement makes it a fundamental bottom line issue, impacting on the profitability or on service outcomes. In other words it is a must-do, not a nice-to-have.

Notes to Editor

The Employment Value Proposition or Employment Deal Diagnostic is a unique HR diagnostic tool that examines the Employment Deal. It looks at the organization as a conversational arena and recognizes the role of conversational practices in shaping the exchange processes by which performance through people is produced. EVP strives to understand how relationships work and to deliver insights into the performance recipes that produce engagement. It operates on a deep dive analysis of a unique blend of sentiment and statistical data.

Martin Reddington blends academic research with consultancy. Formerly Global Director, HR Transformation at Cable & Wireless, he is a member of the CIPD’s national advisory group on technology and HR and an expert advisor to the PPMA on HR Transformation. Martin has developed the employment deal diagnostic approach with Professor Helen Francis.
