The enhanced intelligence CloudApps gives us is fundamental in achieving our corporate responsibility goals.

Global sustainability software provides elite running brand with rapid office and supply chain analysis

LONDON 21st DECEMBER 2012 – CloudApps, the multi-award winning provider of sustainability performance management software, has announced global running footwear and apparel company Brooks Sports, as its latest customer. Brooks will use CloudApps to streamline and automate its data collection and to help meet its overall corporate responsibility goals.

Brooks Sports’ initial roll out of CloudApps’ sustainability suite will provide deep analytics into its environmental and social performance, capturing a myriad of data across its own operations and its supply chain. Data ranging from electricity and water consumption at its offices, to product transportation and human rights data in its supply chain will leave Brooks better placed to understand and analyze its impacts and to subsequently take appropriate efforts to improve its performance.

In order to build the stronger reporting process it needed to authenticate its efforts, Brooks turned to CloudApps. Previously, the collection of its sustainability data relied on spreadsheets and manual reporting. CloudApps automates the capture of data, making reporting faster and error free. Looking to the future, Brooks has a long term ambition to pilot SuMo, an interactive app which engages employees in allowing them to view and manage their personal energy use using game mechanics.

Stacey Gamble, Corporate Responsibility Manager from Brooks Sports said: “At Brooks a major focus is to understand the environmental and social impacts of our business and manufacturing processes. The enhanced intelligence CloudApps gives us is fundamental in achieving our corporate responsibility goals. Having a solution that streamlines our data collection processes and allows for in depth analysis of our performance, will be crucial in demonstrating measurable outcomes and focussing our efforts for performance improvement.”

Peter Grant, CloudApps CEO said: “It is great to see Brooks hit the ground running and improve its triple bottom line. Brooks realises the impact it has on the environment can also influence turnover and employee retention. Carbon reporting is a tough challenge but CloudApps’ highly flexible solution will help Brooks to become a better, more energy efficient and an authentically sustainable organisation.”
