Go West front man Peter Cox releases his fifth solo album ‘Riding The Blinds’ through Dream Theatre Music Group on Monday 21st January 2013.

The 12 track album is a blend of Americana / Alt Country spiced with some great rock & country guitar riffs and Cox’s exemplary vocal talent is perfectly displayed throughout the album.

The songs themselves emanate primarily from the songwriting capital of the world, Nashville.

Many have been penned by stellar Nashville writers such as Bobby Terry (Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw), Brad Crisler (Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney), John Goodwin (Brad Paisley, Crazy Heart Original Soundtrack) and SESAC’s Songwriter of the year 2012, Catt Gravitt (Jake Owen).

Other songs have been written by Nashville ’Americana/Alt Country’ writers such as Jabe Beyer and the UK’s own Owen James Harvey from City Lights Music, and critically acclaimed writer / producer Chris Corney.

“Riding The Blinds' is an opportunity for me to record a collection of songs by some of Nashville's most accomplished writers. It has been a fascinating challenge to interpret material which I haven't written and tailored to my voice - and I'm really excited about the results. The 'Americana' genre is new territory for me. I've enjoyed the chance to explore my capabilities as a singer - and refuse to be 'typecast'” - Peter Cox
