Buying specialists Lynx Purchasing have recently promoted one of their highest regarded team members. Rachel Dobson has served the company for 6 years now and is due to join the managing director John Pinder and co – founder Howard Pearson on the board as a fellow director.

Rachel started her career with Thistle Hotels where she undertook an operations role before moving on to Principal Hotels, where she took on the role of group purchasing manager. Rachel moved onwards and upwards when Principal Hotels were acquired by Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, where she was offered a European Purchasing role. Rachel then joined Lynx in 2006.
Working with over 1200 businesses across the country Lynx has built up a large customer base within the hospitality and catering sector. This figure has increased significantly from a year ago where the figure sat at around 800 businesses. The company approaches food wholesalers and other suppliers of items such as drink, equipment, disposables, hygiene products and utilities on behalf of their clients to negotiate a better price and overall deal.
