Romance movie choices on Tank Top Movies

This Valentine’s Day, Tank Top Movies will help you and your partner to find, compare and watch movies that you both want to see

Find A Movie to Watch at Home This Valentine’s Day with Tank Top Movies
Avoid arguments and find a movie that you'll BOTH love

LONDON, 11 February 2013: Whilst snuggling up with your partner in front of a great movie could be the perfect night in this Valentine's Day, you don't want any bickering over which film to watch. Tank Top TV's brand new movies website, Tank Top Movies, makes it easy to find a film that both you and your date want to see, based on your individual choices.

Tank Top Movies is a brand new service that helps you find great movies that you can watch on demand. Tank Top Movies makes it easy to explore what's available from all the on-demand services, all in one place.

This Valentine’s Day, Tank Top Movies will help you and your partner to find, compare and watch movies that you both want to see. You both sign up for free at http://movies.tanktop.tv, accessing the site using the invitation code VALENTINE. Add films that you're interested in to your watchlist and get your partner to do the same. Once you've both chosen a few options, use ‘Find Friends’ to locate your partner, and with one click you can combine watchlists to give you a list of suggested movies that you both want to see, as well as details of where to watch them.

Whether you're subscribed to a service like Netflix or LoveFilm, or you want to buy movies from a pay-as-you-go service like BlinkBox or Film 4oD, Tank Top Movies shows you what's currently available, and how much it will cost to watch.

“With 24% planning a cosy night in, and another 20% arranging a home-cooked meal, that’s almost half of the population who may end up watching a movie on Valentine’s Day*. We want to help couples find a movie that fits both their tastes,” explained Tank Top TV co-founder, Liz Rice. “We use film ratings combined with their release date to show you the best, recent movies first, and over time, as we learn more about your taste, Tank Top Movies can further tailor the film listings accordingly.”

If you already know what film you want to see, Tank Top Movies searches all of the UK's on-demand channels and tells you who's got it ready to watch immediately. Still in beta, Tank Top Movies is free to join and browse although you may need to pay to watch movies on premium or subscription-only channels. It shows movies from the list of on-demand services, including NetFlix, LoveFilm, BBC, Sky, Film 4oD and Virgin TV, except films you tell us you've already seen or aren't interested in. If a film is currently unavailable, Tank Top Movies can notify you when it becomes available to watch.

Tank Top Movies can filter by genres, actors and directors, or you can simply search for something by name. It combines the critic and user ratings from movie review website Rotten Tomatoes, factoring in time so that recent movies with a decent rating are more likely to appear near the top. In time, the service plans to add personal recommendation factors too, so that viewers are much more likely to find a movie they’ll love at or near the top of the list.

“Our aim is to improve the user experience – helping viewers find something they like over multiple sources,” continued Liz. “It’s a much better way to explore content on demand, and this Valentine’s Day, it’ll be invaluable in helping couples who want to stay in and watch a great movie together.”
