Specialist mapping, data and routing expert PIE is encouraging investors to buy into exciting plans for international expansion.

Founded in 2004, the London-based company uses road network data to create online mapping solutions for vehicle fleets, local authorities and private businesses.

Having recently partnered with organisations such as LOCOG and Transport for London on major projects, it is receiving mounting interest in its expertise from across the globe.

It is now looking for growth capital to help it build a team of people focussed on supporting international trade and to push the boundaries of its innovations.

“The last year has been pivotal for PIE, we were instrumental in managing traffic flow throughout the London 2012 Games, established new local government partnerships and launched our new Freight Journey Planner alongside Transport for London,” said Freddie Talberg, CEO, PIE Mapping.

“These developments and high-profile projects have given us a solid platform to begin engaging in similar opportunities overseas.”

The company is currently exploring potential new relationships in Brazil, where it believes its experience could help negate the impact that two major sporting events will have on the country’s roads.

PIE is now inviting prospective investors to find out more about the company and the opportunities available and has partnered with specialist technology investment firm Ariadne Capital to help coordinate the fundraising.
