JLS's J.B. with Moez Seraly

Stephen used to work as a designer for Giorgio Armani, Paul Costello and Calvin Klein before creating his own tailoring house.

Last night celebrity tailor Stephen Williams, the master tailor and designer behind house of tailoring Bespoke HQ, launched his new shop within the luxury omni-channel retailer The Clerkenwell Collection.

Tailor to celebrities and public figures that include David Beckham, Stephen Dorff, Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, Michael Portillo, James Caan, and Mark Wright to name but a few, Stephen used to work as a designer for Giorgio Armani, Paul Costello and Calvin Klein before creating his own tailoring house.

The glamorous launch of The Clerkenwell Collection last night and Bespoke HQ’s retail space within it, sees serial entrepreneur David J. Brown, the Co Founder of the award-winning Ve Interactive and his portfolio investment company Thinkers HQ, expand their ever growing portfolio of successes. Thinkers HQ have taken equity positions in all of the designer-maker companies housed within The Clerkenwell Collection, helping them with both their online and offline presence.

David Brown says “The Clerkenwell Collection will cater to the current consumer return to an appreciation of quality workmanship, authenticity and individuality, as an alternative to the mass-produced and manufactured. We are excited to contribute to the halo effect of the other wonderful creative businesses in our environs, making Clerkenwell the perfect antidote to the West End.”

Stephen Williams says “I’m so grateful to Thinkers HQ and Ve Interactive for the huge amount of support they’ve given me and for helping me to keep my dream alive. While I had my ready-to-wear collection online and was creating made-to-measure pieces for clients as a travelling tailor from in my design studio, with the shop I can now start to create bespoke garments and offer my customer base so much more service.”

The launch party included guests; JLS, Reg Traviss, Emma Noble, Nick Ede, and Catalina Guirado, and a spectacular 1963 Aston Martin DB5, that was featured in the recent Bond movie, Skyfall. The Aston Martin’s presence signifies an exciting new collaboration, which will be announced over the coming days. Guests dined on canapés prepared by an in-house chef, and drank exclusive wines by fine wine merchant The Perfect Cellar, supplier to fashionable restaurant Nobu. The dessert went down a storm, with chocolate truffles being provided by Charbonnel et Walker.

As well as providing customers with the chance to shop the ready-to-wear collection and be fitted for made-to-measure garments, Stephen Williams will also be holding ‘Meet the Maker’ events in The Clerkenwell Collection. There customers can hear him speak on tailoring and style, and find out more about the work that goes into creating such exquisite pieces of British tailoring.
