VPS’ message to Europe’s largest property conference: ‘prepare and be ready for the economic upswing’.

As 20,000 property developers, investors and top city officials gather in the South of France this week, VPS, responsible for managing over 90,000 vacant properties in the UK and abroad, highlights the need to protect, maintain and secure assets.

Better known as the host for an annual film festival, Cannes this week sees MIPIM, le Marché International de Professionals Immobilier, with real estate professionals from over 80 countries attending.

“Our key message to property owners and landlords is that even during these tough conditions, vacant property that is looked after and maintained, will be re-let far sooner than property left to decay.” said Gavin Pringle, UK Corporate Sales Director for VPS. "Our experience has proven that property units that are monitored, protected and secured from weather damage, intruders and metal theft are not only more likely to find new tenants sooner, but are also cheaper to maintain in the long run" he added. "The cost of repairs from water leaks or from stolen roof lead far outweighs the protection assigned to void units."

Providing far more than security, VPS’ innovative products and expert services allow their customers to protect their vacant properties against unauthorised access and property decay. VPS also cleans, clears and removes hazards, disconnects services, carry out inspections and provide essential maintenance. By deterring trespassers, reducing crime and keeping vacant property in working order, such units are better prepared for quicker re-occupancy, sale or construction.

Note to journalists: there are a couple of appointment slots still available to interview the VPS Group CEO Mark Silver or the UK Corporate Sales Director, Gavin Pringle whilst they are visiting MIPIM. Contact Graham on 077 222 82 946.
