It’s the final day of Cheltenham 2013 on Friday, with an action packed day of national hunt racing on the card.

Punters will be hoping to make up lost ground after the third day of Cheltenham 2013 took its toll on bankrolls with not a single favourite prevailing on the day. In fact only two of the races produced winners priced under the 8/1 mark.

With three Grade 1 races lined up, along with a foxhunter chase and three handicaps, there will be plenty of betting opportunities on offer.

Gold Cup Action

The undisputed highlight of the day is the 2013 Cheltenham Gold Cup, where Bobs Worth has emerged as a strong favourite to win his first Gold Cup. Despite winning the King George VI Chase on Boxing Day, Long Run is still trading above 5/1 and offers superb each-way value in what should be another thriller of a race.

The biggest hurdles race of day four is the Triumph Hurdle which will once again showcase the talents of the most talented 4 year old hurdlers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Rolling Star and Our Conor are neck and neck in the betting while the in-form Far West looks like a value proposition as he’s still trading over 4/1.

Then there’s the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, the final Grade 1 hurdles race of the meeting. This race has produced a bankable favourite in At Fisher’s Cross, but there’s also some noteworthy each-way value on African Gold who has won his last four races ahead of Cheltenham 2013.

The Foxhunter Chase and three handicaps then make up the remainder of the card, giving the gamblers some more opportunities to cash in on high-priced entries.
