Fruugo.com, the global shopping marketplace, today announces its partnership with Lengow, the France-based leading data feed management and online marketing organisation.

Fruugo operates a unique cross-border global shopping platform, automatically turning any retailer's “localized” product data into truly international shopping content.

Lengow's clients can now be easily introduced and integrated into Fruugo, thus reaching new shoppers, worldwide, via Fruugo’s multi-language, multi-currency, multi-retailer marketplace.

Shoppers in any of the 23 Fruugo countries automatically view everything in their own language and currency within the Fruugo Marketplace, and can buy from multiple retailers (even from multiple countries) in one simple, secure checkout process. The order details are then passed on to the retailers to fulfill the order. Fruugo charges a simple commission on the sale.

Lengow was founded in France in 2009 and provides a SaaS data feed management solution allowing more than 1,000 major clients worldwide to improve their visibility to shoppers. The Lengow technology gives online merchants a 360° view of their data in real time.

Fruugo originated in Finland and the business was acquired by the UK Management team in 2012. It is now quickly expanding its global reach both in terms of retailers and shoppers.

Mickael Froger, co-founder and CTO of Lengow , says;
“Today, consumers want to shop in their native language. Promoting your products to a global audience in their native languages with multiple currencies can be tricky.
At Lengow we’ve been working on such complex buying scenarios for years and now with Fruugo we’ve found a partner that both suits and shares our expectations in term of performance and quality. Thus, I’m confident our clients will benefit from selling through Fruugo’s qualitative ecosystem. Fruugo has developed an outstanding expertise in making cross-border transactions as smooth, secure and easy as a domestic sale. They absorb all the payment acquiring costs, currencies and exchange costs. They deal with the complexity of connecting to various payment methods, a factor multiplied by the number of countries you do business in. Lengow is thrilled to now be able to index its clients’ products catalog on to Fruugo’s marketplace.”

CEO of Fruugo, Dominic Allonby, says;
"Lengow is an acclaimed international leader in their field and we will be working with them closely to help their extensive retailer base reach shoppers all around the world though our “one stop”, fully localised marketplace. Unlike worthy competitors such as Amazon (who have individual marketplaces for individual countries) and Rakuten (who are simply acquiring and rebranding unrelated businesses, such as Play.com, Tradoria, Buy.com and Priceminister), Fruugo is connecting everything and everyone in a single global marketplace.
Global and cross border shopping is growing exponentially, and this partnership will leverage both companies assets to ensure Fruugo’s international customer base can easily buy Lengow’s clients products, all within the trusted Fruugo marketplace."
