“As the largest vacant property specialist in the UK and Europe, we are setting out our commitment to the social housing sector” says Anthony Owen, VPS’ Director for Public Sector and Social Housing.

“We are bringing a whole range of innovations and ideas to Housing 2013, including the technology-leading Smart Alarms and Verifeye Visual sensors. On trial will be some interesting developments on the steel screens and we look forward to discussing those with visitors to our stand at CIH.” Anthony explains. “This year we have opened 6 new service centres across England and Wales, making over 30 in total. And just this month we have welcomed the Vacman cleaning company into VPS, whose excellent award winning services extend across much of Scotland.”

“Add to this our Spring maintenance campaign, aimed at keeping the land surrounding voids looking good, and the whole of our focus is on delivery of the best specialist vacant property services that can be provided.”

“We are really looking forward to meeting both current and future partners at Housing 2013. Behind the products and services, the VPS team are dedicated to their clients’ needs. They, more than anything else, underline our commitment to the social housing sector.” Mr Owen concludes.

Last year VPS helped to clean, clear, maintain and prepare almost 20,000 homes in the public and social housing sectors. During the CIH Housing week, over 400 homes prepared by VPS will have welcomed new tenants.

Visitors to the VPS stand F32, can win £100 of Amazon vouchers each day. Special codes, from emails sent out in advance or from the cards available at the stand, can be entered into the stand’s VPS LockBox, a new solution to the problem of key management, providing a safe and secure way of allowing property access to authorised individuals.

VPS secure more than 90,000 properties and employ over 1500 staff in 100 locations across the UK, the US and mainland Europe. Their core services for vacant properties range from risk assessment, clearing, cleaning and maintenance, through to security, monitoring and preparation for re-letting or sale.
