The London College of Garden Design

The College aims to provide world-class, inspirational garden design training

The London College of Garden Design has created the first ever design clinic for this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Visitors to the show can come and meet professional graduates of the College and get all their garden design questions answered.

Director Andrew Wilson said “maybe you want to make some large-scale changes to your garden or perhaps you just want some new inspirational planting ideas. Whatever you need pop into the design clinic tent and meet one of our professional garden designers for some great ideas.”

The garden design clinic is located in the new Inspiration Zone at the redesigned show amongst the summer gardens and conceptual gardens that have become a major drawer for visitors to the show over the past few years. It is hoped that after seeing the gardens visitors will not only take inspiration from them but get some help from London College of Garden Design’s graduates to incorporate some ideas into their own gardens.

Wilson added “Next door to the College’s design clinic you’ll find an exciting conceptual garden by two graduates from the class of 2012, Jens Haendelar and Katarina Rafaj. The College aims to provide world-class, inspirational garden design training. Students often benefit from work experience with some of the leading UK garden designers who are exhibiting at shows worldwide. This experience leads to successful businesses and their own exhibits like that of Jens and Katarina at shows. “

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is open from 8th to 14th July with tickets available now from rhs.org.uk. More information about the London College of Garden Design can be found at www.lcgd.org.uk
