New VPs from CA Technologies and Temenos look to capitalise on growing demand for omnichannel customer service within key vertical markets

LONDON, UK — 30 July 2013— [24]7, the intuitive customer experience company, has continued its dynamic growth and expansion in the United Kingdom (UK) with two new appointments to head up sales teams targeting the retail and financial services (FS) markets.

Christopher Schyma joins [24]7 as Vice President (V.P.) Sales and Retail, from CA Technologies and John Mitchell joins from financial services software firm Temenos, as V.P. Sales, Banking, and Financial Services. Both Schyma and Mitchell, have extensive experience in working with technology firms in their respective vertical markets and their appointments come as [24]7 makes a renewed push to meet the growing requirement for omnichannel customer service.

“There has been a move within the industry over the past 18 months towards omnichannel customer service and [24]7 is perfectly positioned to deliver this to firms in retail, financial services and other sectors,” said Mike Hughes, European Managing Director, [24]7. “Christopher and John bring unparalleled experience to our team, adding in-depth industry and know-how to our market leading customer service technology.”

[24]7 has a strong customer base in retail and Schyma will be tasked with building on successes in other territories. He brings to the role more than a decades’ experience working with leading retailers across Europe and Asia as they embark on transformation projects to better serve their customers. Most recently at CA Technologies, he was responsible for many of their largest enterprise retail customers.

“A number of retailers have struggled with the pace at which the multi-channel world is moving, with consumers increasingly expecting the same levels of service across a variety of different channels,” said Christopher Schyma, [24]7. “I believe [24]7 will help retailers meet this demand, leveraging its predictive platform to anticipate consumer needs irrespective of channel. With [24]7 as a partner this results in a direct and measurable increase in sales revenues as well as improved customer service to drive customer loyalty.”

John Mitchell has worked in technology and financial services for almost two decades, including Oracle and Misys. During this time he has developed a deep understanding of the retail banking and related financial services industries.

“The past few years have been eventful to say the least in financial services and I believe that post-crisis and the Payment Protection Insurance scandal, UK banks are more focused on improving the customer experience than at any time in recent history,” said John Mitchell, [24]7. “The need for innovative partners to help them develop this customer experience is also strong and I look forward to bringing [24]7’s intuitive customer technology to financial services organisations across the UK.”

[24]7 works with many of the world’s most prominent brands to deliver a more predictive and omnichannel customer experience and is regularly cited by industry analysts such as Ovum and Forrester as one of the leading providers of customer service technology.
