Leading electronic cigarette provider, Nicolites, has responded to a recent survey highlighting holidaymakers’ thoughts on smoking cigarettes on cruise ships.
According to an article published by abc news on September 9, a survey conducted by the cruise community website Cruise Critic looked at the opinions of holiday makers on the subject of smoking when on board a cruise ship.
The poll, which used responses from approximately 500 cruise passengers, revealed that 54% believed that smoking cigarettes should be banned on cabin balconies. The survey also discovered that nearly 25% felt that smoking should be banned in all areas of the cruise ship.
The results follow the recent news that a number of cruise ships have put steps in place to ban smoking on cabin balconies. Despite these recent bans, there are a number of cruise liners who still allow smoking in certain areas of the ship.
As a leading electronic cigarette provider, Nicolites closely follow news relating to smoking. A spokesperson for the company commented on this recent news:
“With smoking bans already in place in a variety of locations around the world, and with cruise ships potentially implementing similar bans, many smokers are looking for an alternative to cigarettes. Although the smoking policies of various destinations and cruise ships should be looked at in detail, e cigarettes are not lit and do not contain tobacco, so are often exempt from the smoking ban.”
Nicolites is now the leading and most widely available brand of electric cigarette in the UK; they have formed business partnerships with many of the largest retailers to bring these wonderful innovations right on to the doorstep of every person in the country. Established in late 2007, Nicolites has grown into a multi-million pound company with international distribution networks and continues to grow at a phenomenal rate.
