Compliancy Services, the city Compliance Consultancy, today announce that they have hired Nigel Masters a former FCA Senior Associate. Mr Masters will work in a client-facing consulting role providing Compliance advice and support to investment firms, assisting them in dealing with the ever-increasing challenges posed by UK and European regulations.

Mr Masters has a deep history in UK financial services spanning over 30 years in both banking and regulatory affairs. Prior to entering Compliance he managed the Eastern counties area as Area Director for Lloyds TSB. While at the FSA, and latterly the FCA, he specialised in reviewing complex investment and banking licence applications. Most recently he worked in a training role supporting the team that will assess applications from Asset Managers applying to be authorised under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD.)

Nigel Masters commented “I felt it was the right time in my career to make a move which allows me to directly assist regulated firms in meeting their compliance challenges and obligations. While at the FCA I worked in conjunction with a number of compliance firms and was able to identify Compliancy Services as providing the right platform to achieve this ambition. I am delighted to join the team at Compliancy Services.”

Ben Mason, Managing Partner of Compliancy Services added “We are delighted to recruit Nigel. His professional background is exceptional in that it combines many years of mainstream financial services in major financial institutions with a number of years, both as a regulated compliance officer and a senior regulator. His experience will be highly valued by our clients.”
