Corby Council Leader opening VPS centre

Moving to this larger site will enable us to fulfil greater service delivery to a growing customer base in the region

VPS, the largest vacant property specialists in Europe, have tripled their service delivery centre in Corby by opening a facility at Edison Courtyard. The event marks the fifth such event after new service centres and satellites were opened at Washington, Thetford, Bolton and Warrington earlier this year.

The opening ceremony was held with the Leader of Corby Council Cllr. Tom Beattie cutting the ribbon and welcoming the expansion.

Cllr Beattie said "It's good to see businesses choosing Corby to expand in and employing more staff."

Alex Gallo, VPS' Head of Operations South explained "Corby is an important centre of operations for us. Moving to this larger site will enable us to fulfil greater service delivery to a growing customer base in the region, and the transport connections are ideal"

After a tour of the site, Cllr Beattie also met two of the newest recruits to VPS, Arthur, 36, who only joined 5 weeks ago, and 22 year old Aaron:

"I started work here as a temp but when a permanent job came up I applied and VPS took me on." said Aaron. "I like the job because no two days are the same."

Last year VPS helped to maintain and prepare almost 20,000 homes to re-let to new tenants, and made 100,000 inspections of sites as part of their commitment to customers to look after their properties.

Across the UK and Europe they look after more than 50,000 properties and employ over 1700 staff.
