Further outsourcing contract for Origin from Akzo Nobel, the
chemicals giant that signed a £450 million outsourcing deal
with the company in July 1999
Akzo Nobel's business group, Akcros Chemicals, today
announced that it has signed an agreement with Origin to
provide IT support for the entire business group. The
agreement valued at £4.85 million over five years is for the
management of the company's ERP system, based on Oracle
Financials and Oracle Process and Manufacturing (OPM).
Origin will also provide helpdesk and operational services
within Akcros' global headquarters based in Manchester.
Origin signed the largest commercial outsourcing deal in
Europe last July with Akcros' parent company, Akzo Nobel,
worth £450 million. The deal will see Akcros transfer nine
staff and IT services to Origin.
