Princeton Softech’s Select Enterprise has been awarded 'US' Software Development Magazine's Productivity Award in the design and management tools category. This is the second award in one month for Princeton Softech‘s Component Based Development product range following the UK SIGS award for Select Component Manager. Each year, Software Development magazine honours the development tools that make the difficult task of developing complex software easier, faster, more efficient or more precise. Select Enterprise was chosen as a tool that infuses technical team leaders and developers with a jolt of productivity. Princeton Softech is a subsidiary of Computer Horizons Corp. (Nasdaq:CHRZ) that delivers enabling technologies for enterprise-scale eBusiness solutions.

According to Gary Evans, a contributing writer with Software Development magazine and one of the Jolt Awards judges, "Select Enterprise 6.1 provides object-oriented modellers and developers with both power and ease of use for an affordable price. The unique online Process Mentor facility offers a procedure guide for OO software development, guiding the user through the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of object and component modelling. Select supports built-in model versioning and provides an excellent report generation facility that other vendors should emulate."

Select Enterprise, which seamlessly integrates UML-based visual modelling, data modelling, business process modelling and CBD, is part of Princeton Softech’s Component Factory, the world’s only suite of component-based development tools that runs actively on a scalable repository, enabling large development teams to deliver complex eBusiness systems.

"eBusiness initiatives demand speed and quality," notes Hedley Apperly, senior product marketing manager, Princeton Softech. "We are very pleased that Software Development has recognised Select Enterprise as a best-of-breed solution that will streamline the development process, increase productivity and improve the quality of resulting business applications. This award reinforces Princeton Softech’s practical approach to component based development."

In addition to Select Enterprise, the Component Factory suite of products also includes Component Manager, a multi-user, repository-based manager of components that was recently named 'Best Component Library' by delegates at the SIGS Application Development 2000 conference; and the enterprise language pack of choice: Jsync Enterprise Language Pack for Java, VBsync Enterprise Language Pack for Visual Basic®, Csync Enterprise Language Pack for C++, or FORTEsync Enterprise Language Pack for Forté®. Component Factory is priced at US $55,000 for 10 seats.
