“Giving Disadvantaged Children the Opportunity to Feel Valued”

Belleveue Mortlakes Chartered Surveyors are delighted to announce their 3rd Annual 7-A-Side Charity Football Tournament. We see major property and financial institutions taking part in this 36 team event and being put to the test in aid of CHICKSTeams include HSBC, Lloyds TSB, RBS, Barclays, Santander, EFG and Nationwide.

Each year, we welcome the crowd’s dynamic enthusiasm of 500 spectators to support the teams and raise much needed funds for great charitable causes.

The Tournament will take place on Thursday 5th June at The Walker Ground, Waterfall Road, Southgate N14 7JZ, between 12pm and 5.30pm, in celebration of the 2014 World Cup. There will be a few surprises, including Celebrities Leo the Lion Musician of ‘The Streets’, Dan Hill TV Presenter Channel 4’s ‘Ultimate Dealer’ and ‘Eastenders’ Actor Matt Di’Angelo who will play alongside the financial institutions teams to make it a memorable occasion and not to forget live comedy brought you by Britain’s very own Bob Mills.

CHICKS is a national children’s charity that provides disadvantaged 8–15 year olds with FREE respite breaks across the UK- children that live in poverty, suffer abuse, are young carers or have lost parents. Their vision is to give every disadvantaged child the opportunity to feel valued. Childhood lasts for such a short time. It should be a time for laughter and learning, not a time of fear and isolation. A CHICKS break inspires new confidence and gives these children the chance to have fun, try new things and form positive childhood memories.

David Burrowes, local Enfield (Southgate) MP, is once again kindly offering his time and support to the Tournament and with the help of England and Tottenham player Andros Townsend, has drawn the teams.

David Burrowes MP - “I am pleased to be able to support a Charity Football Tournament in conjunction with Belleveue Mortlakes on 5th June, 2014. I will be taking part on the day to help raise funding for CHICKS who are providing many disadvantaged children with the chance to benefit from some positive time away.”

Ed Timpson, UK Parliament’s Conservative MP, Secretary of State for Children and Families, is a strong campaigner for the Joint Committee of Human Rights where he sits on the Children, Schools and Families Select Committee.

Ed Timpson MP - "Every child, whatever their start in life, should be able to experience what the world around them has to offer. What CHICKS does helps make that happen for some of our most disadvantaged children.

It's fantastic to see David leading the fundraising drive in Enfield to ensure that many more children have similar opportunities to put a positive stamp on their childhood. Good luck to Belleveue Mortlakes.”

CHICKS fundraising efforts are actively supported by their patrons, who include: Jennifer Saunders, Seth Lakeman, Kate Winslet, Alan Titchmarsh, Jenny Agutter, David Gower, Nigel Havers and Ranulph Fiennes.
