Fat-Chilli Cards & Gifts invites primary schools in the UK to design a birthday card to commemorate the Prince’s first birthday on 22 July 2014, on a theme of their choice.
Prince George of Cambridge is the son of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and the only grandchild of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana Princess of Wales. After his grandfather and father, he is third in line to succeed his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
A winning design will be chosen from all the artworks submitted on the project, and a card of the winning design will be sent to the Prince, care of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at Kensington Palace to mark this really special and memorable event in their lives.
Project participants may also order card and gift items printed with their individual designs, but ordering is not compulsory, it is offered as an option for those participants that are interested to purchase mementos they have designed themselves.
Please return artwork between 1 May 2014 and 10 June 2014.
The winner will be notified via the school, and the winning design will be printed onto a commemorative card and sent to Prince George on the 14 July so it arrives in time for the Prince’s birthday.
• The school or nursery with the winning design will win a Play Teepee made with union jack material.
• The mum of the winner will win a Stamptastic stamp set.
• The child that wins the competition will:
- Have their design printed onto a commemorative card to be sent to Prince George at Kensington Palace (and will also receive a copy to keep)
- Receive an Artwork Award from Fat-Chilli.
- Win a voucher for Fat-Chilli products worth £50
- Win a Zatchel’s satchel in the design of the winners choice (they can select the one they want from the Zatchels website)
Please register on the Fat-Chilli website at www.fat-chilli.com, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to advise the date you will return your artwork.
Notes to Editors:
1. Fat-Chilli Cards and Gifts
Fat-Chilli Cards & Gifts raise funds for their partners through creative art projects. The art projects are suitable for schools, nurseries, and charities throughout the UK. The project participants create individual pieces of artwork that may be reproduced onto a range of greetings card and gift items, that are eco-friendly, and made in the UK. Partners typically earn 10-25% commission on all sales toward their fundraising initiatives.
2. The competition is sponsored by Zatchels
Zatchels is a modern British accessories brand founded on years of experience as a traditional leather goods manufacturer. Founded in 2011, Zatchels has quickly established itself as the ‘go-to’ company for ‘on trend’ leather bags and accessories that are available in a myriad of colours and finishes. Their range of mens, womens, and kids products are often featured in leading magazines and are sold throughout the world.
3. The competition is sponsored by Stamptastic Ltd
Stamptastic were founded in 2011 and are an award winning UK business. Their personalised ‘stamp’ kits are widely used by mums, primarily to stamp their school children’s belongings so they do not get mixed up with similar possessions belonging to friends. The stamps print individual names onto any surface - plastic, wood, leather, and cloth and the ink has the ‘staying power’ to withstand multiple washing cycles or heavy duty cleaning.
