...Worldwide Internet logistics expert Anixter to provide 24x7
manpower and services...

CityReach International (CRI) has selected Anixter to
support its European rollout by providing international
logistical support to the growing Internet infrastructure
company. CityReach has plans to open sites in London,
Berlin, Munich, Dublin and Budapest by the end of 2000 to
grant immediate voice, data and Internet access to its
emerging carriers, Internet and application service provider
customers through its European expansion.

Anixter will provide CityReach with global logistics support
across Europe. This is in line with the launch earlier this
year by Anixter EMEA of a new Public Network division,
providing logistics solutions to telecom companies, with the
support of all leading telecom vendors.

According to CRI's Chief Operating Officer, Ralph O'Dell:
"Our relationship with Anixter allows our staff to be freed
up to focus on our core business of providing quality
co-location and Internet points of presence to Europe's
growing Internet economy. Our customers can also be
reassured to know that they will be receiving a consistent
high quality service as well as being able to get up and
running within hours or days."

Livio Fasiani, Anixter President for EMEA and Asia-Pacific,
said: "CityReach is becoming one of the largest European
co-location specialists and Anixter will provide CityReach
with the flexibility a major player in this market requires.
The co-location market is fast moving and highly
competitive; we have the global capabilities CityReach
requires and the skilled workforce to implement a sound
logistical framework, quickly and efficiently, anywhere in
the world."

"Rapid and smooth roll-outs represent a critical success
factor for companies like CityReach," added EMEA Marketing
Director Jean-Jacques Effosse. "By definition, logistics is
not a core business, so partnering with Anixter will allow
CityReach to minimise time to market while getting
best-in-class logistics services. This constitutes at the
same time, a long-term and a short-term solution, to focus
on their customers."
