Leaders in international relocation, Interdean, have commented on the news that one of Brazil’s largest infrastructure improvement projects has been completed just weeks before the FIFA World Cup kicks off.

According to an article published in the Guardian, Brazil has just seen in the completion of one of its most costly infrastructure upgrades – a bus corridor which has been designed specifically for moving people quickly between the airport and subway stations throughout the western part of the city because none of the subway lines go directly to the international airport.

The “Transcarioca Bus System” is 24 miles long and is expected to carry over 320,000 people daily. With over 90,000 people expected to arrive in Rio from abroad, the completion of the dedicated bus lanes will be integral to efficient traffic management.

As experts in international relocation, the Interdeanteam keep their eyes open for any relevant news regarding infrastructure development or improvements in the quality of living. A spokesperson from Interdean identified this article and responded to the news:

‘Huge numbers of tourists from abroad and internally are expected to arrive at Rio and without any dedicated transport system guiding them into the city, the airport would have been havoc.

‘When you are on holiday or moving abroad, transport is of the utmost importance, moving abroad is a stressful job and bad transport in your new home will only increase the stress. Good transport links can completely change your outlook on life – overcrowded public transport or traffic jams on roads day in day out can ruin your experience of a place. ‘
