AuthorCraft group leader Richard White

We are now looking for as many people as possible to sign up to July’s event to make it just as successful as the previous one

Following the successful launch of the Surrey ‘Business Book Club’, the national writer’s group AuthorCraft will be hosting its next meeting in Guildford from Monday 28 July 2014 at 6:00pm.

The event, which will be held at the Mandolay Hotel on London Road, will give aspiring authors the chance to meet other like-minded people and pick the brains of industry professionals to find out how to forge a worthwhile career as a writer.

At the group’s first event on Monday 30 June 2014 Professor Paul Moorcraft, author of over 25 fiction and non-fiction books, shared his knowledge of the publishing process with attendees, passing on valuable information.

This month guests will be treated to a talk from writer Dee Blick, Founder of The Marketing Gym and the UK’s leading small business marketing author.

The group’s leader, Surrey resident and published author Richard White, is looking for future talks to build on the success of the inaugural event.

He said, “I was blown away by the amount of support we received for last month’s event, which will stand us in good stead for future groups.

“Hearing Professor Paul Moorcraft’s speech was truly fantastic, and the guests gained so much knowledge from our panel of experts.

“We are now looking for as many people as possible to sign up to July’s event to make it just as successful as the previous one.”

Anyone wishing to sign up to a future AuthorCraft Surrey event can do so at http://www.meetup.com/Guildford-Meetup-for-Authors-and-Aspir....

Although membership is not required to attend these local events, there is a support programme for authors if they need it which costs just £25 per month, and provides members with benefits such as telephone-based training programmes, unlimited email Q&A sessions on publishing matters.

Those who sign up can also benefit from introductions to industry professionals such as printers, editors and proof readers.

A full list of the benefits of becoming a member can be found on the AuthorCraft website at http://authorcraft.co.uk/Registered.asp.

The event is also supported by local Public Relations firm Famous Publicity.
