Open Rate for Email Campaigns Jump to 50%

DUBLIN, IRE. — 8 October, 2014 — Marketo Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTO), the leading provider of marketing software, today announced that Oktopost, a B2B social media marketing platform, has achieved an 80 per cent lead conversion via a ‘zero touch’ strategy using Marketo. Oktopost has also seen its open rate for email campaigns jump to 50 per cent with Marketo and has successfully aligned its sales and marketing, increasing efficiency, productivity and transparency.

As a lean start-up, Oktopost required a system that could scale employee throughput and productivity while eliminating repetitive and tedious tasks. The company needed a robust marketing platform that can handle complex workflows and automatically drive leads through the marketing and sales funnel, and on boarding process.

Oktopost has also seen a 15 per cent increase in its lead to conversion rates since using Marketo. Acquisition costs have decreased significantly, while the lifetime value of leads have increased. Velocity over sales, both in terms of the amount on a month-by-month basis, and from each individual sale, has also significantly increased.

“Ultimately, for us, the greatest benefit from Marketo is the ability to sync sales and marketing,” added Lerner. “It’s a challenge for a lot of companies. Marketo’s insight helps us look at open rates, engagements and movement from a lead to a nurturing campaign through to conversion.”
