Palimpsest! This exhibit is inspired by the walls of contemporary Iran where uncensored communication is possible: politics, stories even obituaries. Eschewing design and decoration Darvish boldly focuses on the humanity of his mostly female subjects.

DF: The Walls are witnesses to what they see.

On the surface, or else buried beneath multiple layers of paint, DF presents brief apercus of recent Iranian history, each one suggestive of its relationship to the present.
Darvish Fakhr can be found on Facebook and Wikipedia.

His two most recent solo shows were sell outs at the prestigious Aun Gallery, Teheran. Farce in 2013 and Safar in 2011. For images of these and other shows, where other achievements are listed.
