we are experience worked in collaboration with Forbidden Technologies to create a brand new consumer-facing video social network in just 30 days

15 December 2014, London – we are experience (WAE), a leading global service design and innovation consultancy has just completed a project with Forbidden Technologies to launch a consumer-facing video social network known as eva. The project, which took just 30 days to complete, positions eva to become the social medium of choice for millions of consumers from all walks of life. With other social platforms catering for the global market need for text and photographs, eva has been designed to meet the demand for video. eva is beautiful, simple and addictive.

Forbidden Technologies, which develops cloud-based video editing solutions chose WAE to collaborate on this project as it was impressed with the consultancy’s lean UX, iterative test and learn approach, and its ability to deliver within a short timeframe. WAE demonstrated that it could work collaboratively, understanding business needs as well as the technology and consumer landscape. The solution evolved rapidly through lean UX and almost constant validation of concepts with real people in guerrilla settings.

Chris Averill, CEO at WAE comments: “We followed a rigorous design process of test and learn. Day after day our research team tested different ideas with consumers and as a result we were able to deliver a solution that we know consumers really want. We set up a war room in Forbidden Technologies offices and I think in total had over 1,000 ideas on the wall which we tested with consumers.”

Aziz Musa, co-founder of eva at Forbidden said: “I can’t stress enough how important it is to hire a partner that embraces the whole customer experience and has the means to research, gain insight and test designs on the street with real consumers. Research took a central role in the work that WAE delivered for eva. As a result eva was transformed into a beautiful experience that allows people to express themselves through video.”

The eva brand is already building momentum on social media ahead of expectations having almost doubled its Facebook followers in the last month to 11,000. The team created original video content driving visibility to five million people in the last three months with more than 1.5 million views. To learn more, please visit
