Excel Mixed Patch Panel

Excel Launches a new Mixed Panel

Excel Networking Solutions, the copper, optical cabling and rack solutions provider, has launched a new mixed panel that allows for the installation of both copper and fibre modules in one patch panel frame.

The chrome 1U Excel Mixed Use Panel comes in a choice of 4 or 8 port capacity and accepts 6 port copper and fibre modules. The modules are available in a choice of Category 6A Screened, Category 6 Screened and Unscreened, LC Fibre in a choice of OM3, OM4 and OS2 and MTP. The copper modules are independently verified by leading test house, Delta.

Tracey Calcutt, Marketing Manager commented ‘The Mixed Panel and Modules offer a flexible and quick way to terminate and install structured cabling and with the ability to mix both copper and fibre in one patch panel, it provides much greater flexibility.’

Tracey continued ‘The Excel Mixed Panel is suitable for installations from data centres where it can aid the separation of the routes of cabling, to a remote wall box that has a small number of fibre and copper links. Its design provides a versatile and flexible solution that will suit many applications and allows for the termination on or off site.’

Tracey concluded ‘The Excel Mixed Panel is also backed by our 25 year warranty when installed by an accredited Excel Partner so from the end users point of view it provides them with total peace of mind.’

The Excel Mixed Panels and Modules will be available from stock from mid February 2015.

The Excel Mixed Panel is one of a number of new products to be recently launched by Excel – other products include the Intelligent PDU Range, Desktop Power Range and the Excelerator range of Pre-terminated fibre cables.
