A powder blue 2006 Lexus RX 400 H donated to Make-A-Wish® UK, the charity which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions, was sold at BCA Blackbushe on 11 February. The sale raised a total £5,595 for the charity including the Buyer’s Fee donated by BCA.

The ‘56’ plate Lexus RX 400 hybrid was finished in the unique powder blue shade and had covered around 70,000 miles. The car had been widely publicised by BCA before the sale and a large crowd of buyers attended Blackbushe to bid with additional buyers participating via BCA’s Live Online service.

Following some very competitive bidding, the car sold for £5,400. BCA also donated the Buyer’s Fee raising an additional £195 for the charity, and further donations were made on the day from a BCA cake stall.

BCA Blackbushe Manager James Gibson sold the car and commented “We were delighted to raise so much money for Make-a-Wish from this generous donation to the charity. There was some spirited bidding in the auction hall and online, reflecting the very good cause the sale of this Lexus was raising money for.”
