The Valentine’s Day Cat is the debut children’s story by national newspaper journalist Sabuhi Gard.

The story begins on a stormy Valentine's Day when Jerry the gorgeous short-haired tabby cat is injured and taken to the vet by his owner James.

Jerry despises the vet and escapes from his cat basket to his owner’s horror. Will Jerry ever return home in time for his favourite roast chicken dinner on Valentine’s Day?

A beautifully illustrated story by Karen Moore which will leave a pre-school audience hooked as to the whereabouts of its star character Jerry.

Sabuhi Gard lives in Seer Green, Buckinghamshire with her husband James and son Alex. She has been a national newspaper journalist for almost 20 years largely writing about business news. She was bitten by the writing bug when she was studying Classics at King’s College London in the 1990s. After leaving university she was lucky enough to get a staff job at the Financial Times. Since leaving the Financial Times in 2004, she has made a living as a freelance journalist, writing for the “great and the good”.

Karen Moore lives in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees. She studied costume design at Wimbledon School of Art. After leaving Wimbledon she became an art teacher. She is currently teaches art to Years 1 and 6 at Barley Fields school.
