Asparagasm presents 'Shaw's Redemption'- a vegan and gluten-free fine-dining event featuring spectacular installation and performance and the four courses of the apocalypse.
Elect to come to the most apocalyptic Asparagasm to date after you’ve been to the ballot. In honour of Irish Nobel prize winner George Bernard Shaw - the passionate and vocal grandfather of Victorian-era vegetarianism - Asparagasm presents ‘Shaw’s Redemption’ on Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May at Studio Spaces on atmospheric Pennington Street, E1.
Presenting guest chefs Fredrik Bolin, of Disappearing Dining Club fame, and Paul Foster; Executive Chef for Asparagasm Gloucestershire; town meets country in a culinary collision of vegan and gluten-free fine dining.
The night begins with a welcome Dry Martini courtesy of Cotswold Dry gin, a heaven-scented lavender infused distillation with a cloudy twist, or a fruit punch for the non-libatious. A licensed bar includes vegan and organic wines by Vintage Roots and award-winning Asparagasm pale ale from Stroud Brewery.
The dessert denouement welcomes a site-specific performance from the artiste Paka and Rusty, a life size fire-breathing mechanical horse. With installations from sensational steam punk sculpturalists, Circus Kinetica, we explore the wheel of life with the four courses of the apocalypse and a sonic soundscape by Key Changes.
To conclude this seasonally-inspired great British feast, a board meeting of great taste as Paul Foster presents the latest incarnations of Asparagasm’s artisan nut cultured vegan cheeses.
Tickets are £40 per person inclusive of welcome drink, dinner and performance. Available online at Event Brite or to book direct or make a group booking enquiry email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07947 309066.

About Cotswold Dry Gin
Cotswolds Dry Gin has a delectable blend of nine carefully-considered botanicals.
The expression of the traditional London dry style comes from the maceration into our pure wheat spirit of juniper, coriander and angelica root, which have been left for 12 hours to allow their flavour characteristics to fully infuse.
A unique botanical mix of Cotswolds lavender and bay leaf, grapefruit, lime, black pepper and cardamom seed is added into the carter head still for distillation before finishing with naturally refined Cotswolds water.
The result is a classic well-balanced juniper-led gin with crisp citrus and spice. This gin is delicious on its own and over ice. It’s robust enough to stand up to tonic and smooth enough to craft the ultimate gin martini.
About Circus Kinetica
Circus Kinetica are an award-winning, Sussex based Arts collective whose experimental approach, unique aesthetic and affinity for the unusual have earned them considerable acclaim both in the UK and abroad.
Founded by Brighton University graduates James Caldecott and Samuel Apley in 2008, Circus Kinetica has its roots in the festival arts scene (both cultural and musical) where they gained a reputation with their wind powered installations and interactive, large-scale event sculptures.
Their work is driven by a series of obsessional interests including recycled/found materials, renewable/unusual power sources and reactivity to nature, as well as a constantly unfolding curiosity and a certain lighthearted frame of mind, that manifest themselves in a body of work that appears at the same time both current and of a pre-digital, industrial age.
