CCTV showed the offender climbing over a fence before smashing glass in the back door of a property on January 6th

Callum Froggatt, 28, admitted to stealing items after CCTV footage captured him breaking and entering a property on Chesterfield Road South in January. He was sentenced to three years in jail at Sheffield Crown Court for burglaries at two properties. AlertSystems have responded to the news.

Mr Froggatt pleaded guilty to stealing leather handbags, a passport, costume jewellery and £250 of premium bonds according to the Sheffield Star. CCTV showed the offender climbing over a fence before smashing glass in the back door of a property on January 6th.

He was also charged with burglary at a property in Jordanthorpe on January 14th after leaving a footprint at the scene. The homeowner discovered their door panel had been kicked in and a necklace and television had been stolen. Frogratt was then found in possession of an LCD television and was arrested by police.

Investigating officer PC Steve Walch, of Sheffield West crime team, said: “These offences caused the victims unnecessary distress and inconvenience and we cannot underestimate the personal impact that burglary has on people.
