A new hotel is looking to be built in a “long neglected” part of Aberdeen city centre. A spokesperson for Light Mirrors provides a comment.

Plans for a new 210-bedroom hotel in the North Dee area of Aberdeen have been proposed by local property group Drum Property. This hotel is the next step of the firm’s ‘The Grande’ redevelopment plans. According to a spokesperson for the company, this property development will regenerate a “long neglected” part of the city, and could start as early as the end of next year.

Aberdeen has seen considerable redevelopment in recent years, with developments such as EnQuest’s new North Sea headquarters nearing completion and a new Holiday Inn Express hotel which has just opened at Aberdeen International Airport. Managing partner of Drum Property, Graeme Bone, commented on the plans for the new hotel, saying:

“The new hotel will play a key role in the ongoing physical regeneration and services provision in the North Dee area, which was recently identified as the main office district in the new Aberdeen city centre master plan… This is an exciting time for the redevelopment of Aberdeen city centre and we look forward to working with the council and all other local stakeholders in bringing a new hotel brand for the area we can all be proud of.”

Light Mirrors, a UK designer and supplier of illuminated bathroom mirrors, takes a keen interest in property developments such as this. A spokesperson for the company commented on the story, saying: “It’s always good news hearing that city centres around the UK are getting a facelift. Luxury hotels such as this provide economic gains to local areas, and increase the house prices of homes in the area.

“Of course, you don’t have to visit the hotel to experience luxury at home, and you don’t have to wait for hotels to be built to raise your property value. A high quality, luxurious illuminated mirror like you’d expect at hotels such as this will give your home a cosmopolitan renovation. An illuminated mirror can leave your guests in awe and can even add value to your property if you’re looking to sell.”

Light Mirrors is a Devon-based supplier of self-lighting luxury bathroom mirrors and cabinets. With over a decade of industry experience, they have expanded to offering international shipping as far afield as Australia and the USA. They are proud to say that all of their mirrors have been designed in the UK since 2001, and bear the eKomi Seal of Approval.
