A Resource Management Solution Developed To Manage A More Efficient And Productive Workforce

Belfast, UK –11 June 2015 – TotalMobiletoday launched Optimise™ a resource management solution , developed to empower organisations to create schedules that work best for them, whilst providing the all important element of control.

Optimise, which has been designed to be intuitive and easy-to-use, improves the efficient planning and scheduling of resources against the required workload. Resources can be accurately managed, allowing them to maximise the amount of time spent delivering services, while the right skills can be assigned to the right task. Jobs are allocated via a series of user defined criteria formulated to meet the organisation’s goals.

Optimise is unique in that it provides total flexibility around how schedules are created. This means that organisations can allow the solution to dynamically create the schedule that best meets defined criteria, or manually create their own schedules, or a combination of both. This element of control is not the case with other offerings.

The release of Optimise coincides with the latest release of the TotalMobile mobile working solution, which provides users with an even better user experience by highlighting critical information, when it is needed.

"At TotalMobile we aim to improve the productivity of every mobile workforce with authentically mobile technology. We created TotalMobile Optimise to make it easy to schedule work intelligently. Skilled workers can now spend their valuable time doing the work that matters, delivering services to their clients and patients. When combined with the latest TotalMobile 6 app, this exciting new product empowers our customers to achieve operational supremacy by transforming how they deliver services,” commented Gareth Tolerton, CTO at TotalMobile.

"Currently we manually schedule work via a schedule administrator, who then passes the assigned jobs onto the relevant employee. This process has worked for us in the past, however we have realised for a while that there are significant savings to be made through a more efficient scheduling solution. After reviewing TotalMobile Optimise, we are confident that it is the right solution that will enable us to achieve these efficiencies. Through more efficient scheduling, we expect our employees to be able to spend significantly more time delivering services and less time travelling, which is vital in order to deliver the highest standard of service,” explained Jim Corrigan - Local Neighbourhood Services Manager, East Dunbartonshire Council.

Through the creation of efficient schedules, staff spend significantly less time travelling between jobs. This enables them to spend more time in their day delivering proficient and systematic services. This increased efficiency creates a more productive mobile workforce, creating additional capacity and enabling organisations to better meet service demands. A more responsive workforce, also means that jobs are completed effectively on a first time basis. This enables organisations to meet their service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPI) obligations as well as increasing user-satisfaction.
