Cambridge, UK – 11th June 2015, Arcus Global, working with Peterborough City Council are pleased to announce that our project has been awarded finalists status in the Computer Weekly European User Awards for 2015.

A panel of independent judges has nominated Arcus Global and their customer Peterborough City Council in the ‘Best Mobile Computing Project’ category. The Computer Weekly Awards recognise innovation in the cloud and mobile computing industry. How public sector staff and citizens access services has changed dramatically over the years. People expect to access public services across a myriad of devices, in a variety of locations. Peterborough City Council together with its trusted partner, Arcus Global, delivered a solution that is truly mobile friendly and is a cost effective model that supports the current and future needs of all its citizens.

Arcus Global worked closely with Peterborough City Council to deliver a major transformation programme that would improve service flexibility, agility and resilience, as well as enable digital access to all services and data collaboration. The project has demonstrated innovation with its use of the Amazon Cloud Platform, platform and ubiquitous digitalisation of the city through the use of a high speed fibre optic (through CityFibre). The project is already enabling not only greater connectivity, anywhere, anytime, but will also deliver a significant return on investment overtime.

The focus of the cloud transformation project was based around efficiency, automation and commissioning services. Much of Peterborough’s application layer is now on the same Platform (, where integration is free and simple, and PCC is starting to see the vast benefits of Master Data Management and a single view of their residents. This on-going project, sees Arcus Global continuing to work closely with Peterborough City Council and their partners on developing public sector applications.

The winners will be announced at the Cloud World Forum Event on the 24th June at Olympia Grand, London.
