Landmark Solutions has demonstrated they have the technical capability and capacity to deliver our complex programme requirements

Landmark Solutions, a division of Landmark Information Group Ltd, has been selected as one of four companies that will maintain Ordnance Survey’s flagship MasterMap® digital mapping database, over the next four years.

OS MasterMap® is Great Britain’s most accurate and comprehensive geographic record containing over 450 million real-world features including individual addresses to roads and buildings. It contains a suite of different layers, each of which provides a different aspect of valuable mapping data for use in a Geographic Information system (GIS). The continually updated database underpins Ordnance Survey’s full range of digital mapping products.

As part of the contract, Landmark has formed a specialist team of personnel to handle all requirements, which will be supported by an offshore team provided by RMSI Pvt Ltd – the latest incarnation in a long-standing and successful partnership between the two companies.

Chris Brackley, Managing Director of Landmark Solutions said: “We are delighted to be extending our long-standing relationship with Ordnance Survey through this framework and we are very pleased that Ordnance Survey has placed its trust in us to maintain such a prestigious and internationally-renowned mapping database.”

Dan Dukes, Head of Production at Ordnance Survey commented: “Landmark Solutions has demonstrated they have the technical capability and capacity to deliver our complex programme requirements. We are therefore pleased to have awarded the contract for the maintenance of the OS MasterMap to Landmark Solutions and look forward to working with the team.”
