ASHBURTON COOKERY SCHOOL TO OPEN CHEFS ACADEMY IN HALIFAX
One of the UK’s leading independent culinary schools, the Ashburton Cookery School based in Devon, is bringing its award-winning cookery training to the north of the country this winter with the opening of the Ashburton Chefs Academy at Dean Clough Mills, a renowned centre for business and the arts in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
“Over the years we have been asked many times if we would open another training centre outside of Devon”, says the school’s founder and CEO, Stella West-Harling, “and so we are really excited to be bringing our courses to Dean Clough, which has fantastic kitchen facilities and is in a great location for so many people in the Leeds and Manchester areas.
Ashburton’s Chefs Academy courses are intensive, highly practical chef training programmes designed to fast-track the careers of aspiring chefs. Courses range from a chef foundation courses to full culinary diploma’s in cuisine and patisserie.

Such is the demand for Ashburton’s courses the school is already enrolling students at the Halifax Campus for their 4 week Certificate in Professional Cookery which will be running from January 2016.
Ashburton also plan to offer some of their 40 leisure cookery courses at the new Halifax Campus which are aimed at home cooks and cover a range of cuisines and skill levels.
