On 2nd of December, Social Shopping app Maybe* launches its Best Dressed Christmas Competition for the chance to win up to £500* on Christmas day.
Replicating Maybe*s shoppable collections in the app, every week, the brand will release a new curated collection of items to help you best dress for Christmas. Look out of Christmas Jumpers, Tree decor, Christmas Day Dresses and Kids ensembles. The public will then be invited to cast their vote for the chance to win the Christmas pot - up to £500 on Christmas Day.

Maybe* allows shoppers to shop anywhere, online or in the shops, collect all considerations (Maybe*s) in one place and enables discussion and votes with the people who matter. CEO and Founder Polly Barnfield adds, "While we are in private beta, we can’t yet share all of what Maybe* has to offer, but we can replicate some of the features." We’ve scoured the shops and have gathered a rather nice selection of Christmas Maybe*s, and are asking the public for their vote to win.
Retailers, bloggers, and journalists can get involved by following Maybe* across social channels and tagging their favourite christmas items to be considered #maybethebest. Throughout the competition, Maybe* will be updating the collections with new entries submitted via the hashtag and will be asking their followers to like and retweet their favourites to see them ascend the leaderboard. “Separate to our consumer competition, we want to create a little healthy competition among retailers and aim to curate the ultimate Christmas Best Dressed collection from our own research and from suggestions from bloggers and retailers alike.” Polly adds.
There are a number of ways to enter, and lots of ways to unlock additional entries. Firstly, competitors will be asked to vote for their favourite items in any or all of the collections. Additional entries can be unlocked by sharing and following across Maybe*s social channels. The budget will start at £100, but for every 10 unique entries, another £1 will be added to the pot up to £500 max, encouraging entrants to spread the word.
The competition will be supported by blog posts on each of the “Best Dressed” categories with guest blogger, mother, teacher and shopping guru, Elizabeth Sheppard. See her first blog post here, and it will be supported across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
How can you get involved?
- Tell your fans and followers all about our competition. Enter yourself and use the “refer friends” option to create a link from your site. The more entries you send our way, the more chances you have to win yourself.
- Upload your own suggestions by mentioning @appmaybe and tagging #maybethebest . The collections include - Christmas Day Dress, Christmas Jumpers, Christmas Outfits for Kids, and Christmas Tree adornments
