a simple and cost effective telephony solution which requires no on-site hardware and significantly cheaper calls
London β 9th December 2015 - Unified Communications (UC) manufacturer Swyx Solutions has confirmed that one of its long term Gold partners, EBC Group headquartered in Birmingham, is to offer Swyxβs cloud-based UC/Telephony platform provided via its privately owned datacentres.
Delivering maximum value and choice for customers
Partnering with Swyx for its cloud telephony means that EBC Group is able to offer a best-in-class Unified Communications solution alongside its other cloud services, delivering maximum value to customers. Swyxβs solution will offer EBC Groupβs customers with a simple and cost effective telephony solution which requires no on-site hardware and significantly cheaper calls. As with other cloud-based services it offers a flexible and scalable solution which can grow with your business.
Managing Director at EBC Group, Richard Lane commented, βWe are an award-winning provider of managed services providing a single source for all businessβs office technology needs. Having made significant investments in our own core infrastructure, including two privately owned data centres, we already provide our customers with a range of services via the EBC Cloud Suite and adding telephony to our portfolio was a natural progression.
As an existing Swyx Gold partner that already has extensive experience of selling its on-premise (CPE) solution we are confident that Swyxβs cloud-based telephony is the right choice for us. Not only is it cost-effective and easy to deploy and run, our customers can benefit from the same wide breadth of features and functionality available with the on-premise solution, but with the added benefit of being accessible via the cloud.β
New killer features are available via the cloud
According to EBCβs Richard Lane, some of the new killer features that are available in both Swyxβs on-premise and hosted solutions are the Swyx Connector for Skype that enables you to add Swyxβs telephony within the Skype for Business (formely Microsoft Lync) application. βThis is really attractive for organisations that are already taking advantage of Skype or Office 365 for collaboration but are looking for a cost-effective way of adding enterprise class telephony.β EBC is also excited by the Swyx Mac Client that it believes will prove popular with the growing number of customers that rely on Apple-based computers and devices.
Swyx Director of Business Development, Michael Hostbaek said, βWe are delighted that EBC Group have chosen Swyx as its cloud platform for unified communications. The needs of todayβs modern companies are changing with greater demand for flexible, quick and easy access to communications regardless of location. As a result more and more customers are asking our partners for cloud-based communications allowing them to closely match both the budgetary and operational needs of individual businesses.
With our latest support for the REST API, it is also very straightforward for our partners to fully integrate Swyx with other complementary cloud-based services such as CRM or accounts that further enhances the value that communications can play within an organisation as a whole. With EBCβs substantial investment in cloud infrastructure together with their existing knowledge skills and resources they can fully understand and help customers to maximise the value from improved communications.β
The βEBC Cloud Telephonyβ based on Swyx platform will be hosted in EBC Groupβs secure private data centre based at their headquarters which for added security and increased reliability will be replicated at their data centre in Northampton.
