National Geographic Traveller (UK) is launching Travel Geeks, an informal series of events for those passionate about travel, at London’s Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show from 4-7 February. Travel Geeks will bring together travel experts, adventure specialists and like-minded individuals interested in talking about what they like to do most: travel.
The events encourage those with experiences they’d like to share, a willingness to listen to and be inspired by experts and fellow travellers — plus, plenty of photos — to come along to the show.
Maria Pieri, Editorial Director of National Geographic Traveller (UK), said: “This is the first of a series of events that we’re planning to roll out, across London initially, encouraging those with a passion for travel to share their experiences and perhaps discover something new, too. They’ll be inspired to travel and hear top tips and advice about destinations, gear and photography.
“It’s also the chance to meet some of our team, hear their stories and ask their advice, or even suggest some of your own. We’ve put together four topics for the Destinations Show that we hope will trigger many people’s interests, from adventure travel hotspots to no-fly journeys and travel writing.”
National Geographic Traveller (UK) will be on stand AA16 and AA17, taking part in Adventure Travel presented by National Geographic — an area that puts adventure at the heart of this year’s show.
