Leading UK IT Solution provider widens its student outreach initiative yet again

Following the news that Michaela Bone of Lincoln College has been crowned as the CAE Digital Champion for 2015, the full list of college participants for the 2016 Digital Champions program has been announced.

25 colleges running the length and breadth of the country will be hoping to find this year’s champion amongst their students. Areas such as Durham and York right down to the Isle of Wight and Lewisham are represented (the full list of colleges taking part can be found in appendix 1 below).

Justin Harling, CAE MD commented “We have been so encouraged by the way the Digital Champions program has taken off. The quality of the students and colleges participating continues to grow and it has had a positive effect in multiple areas.”

“Late last year CAE was recognised by our peers as an outstanding supplier to the public sector. The unique insights the Digital Champions Program has given us a better understanding of the needs of the educational IT landscape” concluded Harling.

First launched by CAE Technology Services in 2014, the Digital Champions Program is an exclusive opportunity for Further Education colleges and their students to discover a unique perspective on how technology impacts Further Education.

The program allows chosen colleges access to exceptional resources and an ICT exclusive community. The program also helps colleges to deliver the best outcomes from the use of technology and helps to transform Student Digital Champions into the digital leaders of the future.

Funded and delivered by CAE Technology Services, with the support of the world’s leading ICT manufacturers, the Digital Champion Program is a new and innovative way to engage students in all aspects of technology while directly addressing recommendations from the FELTAG (Further Education Learning Technology Action Group) report. The winner receives exclusive site visits to leading IT manufacturers and industry events, unique counsel and guidance from CAE experts and demonstrations of the some of the world’s most advanced ICT equipment and services.
